Bridge to open to traffic on Monday

WINDSOR, Ont. – The Gordie Howe International Bridge will soon be open, with Canadians celebrating the completion of the years-long project.
According to officials, the new bridge connecting I-75 in Detroit to Highway 401 in Ontario will open to traffic as early as 12 p.m. on Monday, July 27. The toll-free multi-use path will open to walkers and cyclists on Wednesday, Aug. 5.
The ceremony on the Canadian side of the bridge was held on Friday, July 24.
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump took to Truth Social regarding the opening of the bridge, saying the U.S. was disinvited to the ceremony.
