Golden Spike Resources (CSE:GLDS) has appointed Ryan Connacher as CEO and director, with his initial focus to include a review of the company’s mineral asset portfolio.
Connacher replaces Keith Anderson, who has resigned as CEO but remains president and a board director. Joseph Cullen has also resigned as a director to pursue other opportunities.
Connacher previously worked at Difference Capital Financial before becoming head of business development at Wek Corp, where he was involved in raising capital across private and public markets.
He is also co-founder and CEO of Freeport Recovery Group, which operates addiction treatment provider Twelve Mile Recovery. Golden Spike says Connacher has raised C$2 million ($2.04 million) for Freeport since its establishment in May 2025 and expanded the organisation to two accredited treatment campuses in Ontario.
“My immediate priority is to evaluate Golden Spike’s current asset portfolio, work closely with our team and stakeholders, and identify strategic opportunities that can drive long-term growth and create value for shareholders,” Connacher says.
Anderson says Connacher brings leadership, entrepreneurial experience, and a fresh perspective as Golden Spike advances its strategic priorities.
Golden Spike holds a 100% interest in the 5,175-hectare Gregory River Property in Newfoundland, Canada.
The property covers about 11km of the Gregory River volcanogenic massive sulphide belt. Golden Spike says the north-northeast-trending corridor has potential to host Cyprus-type polymetallic deposits, as well as copper–gold-zinc vein structures and breccia-hosted stockworks.
