The UFC’s upcoming event in Edmonton is filling up quickly with Canadian fighters.

Monday, the promotion officially announced the addition of four matchups for UFC Fight Night 291 taking place at Rogers Center in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, on Oct. 17, each featuring a Canadian fighter: Marc-Andre Barriault, Tanner Boser, Melissa Croden, and Jamey-Lyn Horth. The event is headlined by a welterweight matchup between Joaquin Buckley and Mike Malott.

In a middleweight bout, Barriault (17-11 MMA, 6-10 UFC) takes on Kyle Daukaus. Barriault will aim to get on track after back-to-back losses to Shara Magomedov and Michal Oleksiejczuk, while Daukaus (17-5 MMA, 4-5 UFC) looks to rebound from a loss against Bo Nickal at UFC Freedom 250.

At heavyweight, Boser (22-11-1 MMA, 5-6 UFC) looks for the first win in his second UFC stint, following a loss to Gokhan Saricam in April. He takes on Jhonata Diniz (9-2 MMA, 3-2 UFC), who was stopped by Mario Pinto in October.

In a women’s flyweight bout, Horth (9-3 MMA, 4-3 UFC) seeks redemption after a decision loss to JJ Aldrich in April. She faces former title challenger Katlyn Cerminara (18-6 MMA, 11-6 UFC), who returns to action for the first time since March 2024.

At women’s bantamweight, Croden (8-3 MMA, 2-1 UFC) looks to keep the momentum going after a unanimous decision win over Darya Zheleznyakova. Her opponent is Chelsea Chandler (7-4 MMA, 3-3 UFC), who also won her last fight, submitting Priscila Cacoeira in the first round in June.
