A 69-year-old man from Edmonton is dead after an early morning collision between a motorcycle and pickup truck in Parkland County, say Alberta RCMP.
At roughly 6:18 a.m. on Thursday, officers from Parkland County were dispatched to a collision between a motorcycle and pickup truck at Highway 627 between Range Road 273 and 274, said RCMP in a release.
When officers arrived on scene, they found the motorcyclist, a 69-year-old from Edmonton, dead on scene.
The male driver of the pickup truck, an 82-year-old senior from Spruce Grove, didn’t sustain injuries, said police.
Police said a collision analyst attended the scene of the collision and the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
After being shut down for several hours on Thursday morning, police said the roadway will reopen and be cleared to traffic shortly.
