FREDRICK (JOHN) TRUEMAN
It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Fredrick John Trueman of Winnipeg, Manitoba, on August 22, 2026, at the age of 96. John passed away peacefully in his sleep.
Born in Wolseley, Saskatchewan, on June 2, 1930, John was a true jack of all trades. Over the years, he worked in farming, mining, and eventually found his way into the fluorescent lighting industry. He was sociable, opinionated, and stubborn when he needed to be, but above all, John loved his family more than anything.
Fishing was John’s passion. Whether sitting on the dock or out in the boat, he was happiest with a fishing rod in his hand and plenty of time to enjoy it.
John will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Roger (Barb), Jim, and John (Liz); sisters, Charlotte, Marilyn, and Joyce; as well as his nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jean (Herbert); son Kerry; daughter Donna; brothers, Bill and Bob; and sisters, Jean, Marge, and Eva.
Cremation has taken place. A private family celebration of John’s life will be held at a later date.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
