CF Montreal continue to shop within Major League Soccer to bolster their roster around Alexis Sanchez.
A transfer deadline day loan move for Chicago Fire left-back Viktor Radojević is on the table according to MLS insider Tom Bogert. He will join through the end of the 2026 MLS season according to an initial report from Alex Calabrese, with the option to extend it a further few months until the end of the MLS Sprint Season in early 2027. The Sprint Season is the shortened campaign in the first half of next year before MLS switches to playing over the winter instead of over the summer months.
The 22-year-old Serbian youth international has been with the Fire since last summer, joining on a multi-year contract from Serbian club FK TSC. He hasn’t been able to break into the first team with any regularity behind MLS regular Andrew Gutman, and a move to Montreal — where he would battle for minutes with Canadian left-back Luca Petrasso — could do him some good.
Radojević, a product of the Red Star Belgrade academy, has appeared in 10 games for Chicago totaling just 295 minutes, plus two more games for the club’s MLS Next Pro side. He has represented Serbia at several youth levels, from under-15 all the way up to U21, but has never featured for the senior team.
Chicago and Montreal have done a lot of business together in the past, including deals for Djordje Mihailovic, Kei Kamara and Joel Waterman. Waterman appears to be on his way out of Chicago this summer, set to join the Portland Timbers.

This summer Montreal has signed Sanchez as a free agent, Colombian defender Brayan Ceballos from the New England Revolution and brought back forward Dante Sealy from the Colorado Rapids.
