The Calgary Stampeders have signed American defensive lineman Daniel Grzesiak.
The six-foot-one, 230-pound pass rusher most recently played for the Louisville Kings in the United Football League, where he made 29 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 10 games. He previously spent time on the practice roster of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent in 2024.
Grzesiak had stops at the University of Cincinnati (2023), Utah State University (2022), and the University of Nevada (2018-21) in college, transitioning from tight end to outside linebacker. In 59 total games, he collected 140 tackles, 29 tackles for loss, 19.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, and six pass breakups.

The Calgary Stampeders (5-6) will host the Edmonton Elks (8-3) at McMahon Stadium on Monday, September 7, with kickoff scheduled for 6:00 p.m. EDT. Last week, the Elks were on bye while the Stampeders beat the Hamilton Tiger-Cats thanks to a late touchdown run from Dedrick Mills.
