A Mississauga man is among three people charged with attempted murder in connection with a home invasion and shooting late last year west of the Greater Toronto Area.

Ontario Provincial Police said those arrested face numerous charges after one person was shot in the early morning hours of Nov. 16, 2025 at a home south of Guelph in Puslinch Township.

Police said they responded, along with paramedics, to a home invasion call at around 4:40 a.m. Upon arrival, they found one person suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was rushed to a local trauma centre and later recovered from their injuries.

Police arrested two people in June and charged them in connection with their investigation into the home invasion and shooting. A third person was arrested on Sept. 9.

Lavontae Bowleg, 20, of Mississauga, is charged with attempt to commit murder using a restricted firearm or prohibited firearm, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, discharge firearm with intent, breaking and entering to commit an indictable offence, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and several other firearm-related offences.

Police said the accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on Oct. 9.

An 18-year-old from Oshawa, who was a youth at the time of the incident and therefore cannot be named, is charged with attempt to commit murder using a restricted firearm or prohibited firearm, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, breaking and entering to commit an indictable offence and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Guelph court at a later date.

Keillo Waisome, 19, of Welland, is charged with attempt to commit murder using a restricted firearm or prohibited firearm, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, breaking and entering to commit an indictable offence, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and several other firearm-related offences.

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on Oct. 5.

Police said a publication ban prevents them from releasing any further information.
