The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to four structure fires across the city on Saturday, with no injuries reported in any of the incidents.

The first fire broke out at 9:45 a.m. in a duplex in the 700 block of Pritchard Avenue. All occupants had evacuated before crews arrived, and the fire was declared under control at 10:02 a.m.

A second fire was reported at 1:57 p.m. in a house in the 600 block of Garfield Street North, brought under control at 2:18 p.m.

The most significant call came at 4:56 p.m., when crews responded to a high-rise building in the 100 block of Young Street. Crews found smoke and flames on arrival and had the fire under control by 5:19 p.m., with damage largely contained to one area of the building.

A fourth fire was reported at 6:56 p.m. in a multi-unit residential building in the 300 block of Blake Street, declared under control at 7:12 p.m. Emergency social services attended, though many residents were able to return to their suites.

All four fires remain under investigation. No damage estimates are available.
