In partnership with YMCA Calgary, Avenue celebrated 20 young leaders at this year’s event.

Avenue, in partnership with YMCA Calgary, recently celebrated the Top 20 Under 20 class of 2026.

Hosted at the Shane Homes YMCA at Rocky Ridge, the event was emceed by Global News’ MacKenzie Mazankowski, following a hoop dance and land acknowledgement by Cree multi-disciplinary artist Virginia Sparvier-Wells.

The Honourable Lois E. Mitchell, former Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, and Shannon Doram, YMCA president and CEO, both spoke to the importance of uplifting the next generation of Calgarians.

Attendees, which included Top 20 judges, friends and family, RedPoint Media Group staff and more, enjoyed live music from Upscale Entertainment, a vintage-inspired photo booth from Lucky Snaps and food and beverages catered by A Certain Flair Catering.

The class of 2026 marks the second year of Avenue’s Top 20 Under 20 program, which was proudly sponsored by YMCA Calgary, Calgary Foundation, STEM Innovation Academy, University of Calgary – Hunter Hub for Entrepreneurial Thinking and Global News Calgary.
