ONTARIO’S Peel Regional Police investigators from the Vice and Human Trafficking Unit have arrested Kabir Jangra, a 23-year-old Brampton man, in connection with a human trafficking investigation.

In April, Peel Regional Police was alerted to a female who was being trafficked within the sex industry. Between October 2025 and February 2026, it is alleged that the accused manipulated her into working in the sex trade.

It is further alleged that the accused then took control of aspects of the victim’s life, created advertisements, located clients, and financially benefitted from her exploitation.

On April 24, Jangra was arrested and charged with procuring; advertising sexual services; communicate for sexual service; trafficking persons; receiving benefits resulting from trafficking in persons; receive material benefits from sexual services; and exercise control.

Jangra was held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

Investigators believe there may be additional victims and are urging anyone with related information to contact investigators with the Vice and Human Trafficking Unit at 905-453-2121, ext. 3555. Anonymous information may also be submitted by calling Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or visiting peelcrimestoppers.ca.
