Eight migrants arrested for illegally crossing US-Canada border in Vermont

Eight people have been arrested for allegedly entering the U.S. illegally from Canada, U.S. Border Patrol said. According to the U.S. Border Patrol, remote surveillance technology at the border flagged a vehicle driving south through a field into Holland, Vermont, on April 26. A person inside the vehicle was later seen attempting to remove boulders placed in the field to prevent cars from driving through. Swanton Sector agents apprehended seven citizens of the United Kingdom and one citizen of Canada. All eight people are being held pending removal from the U.S., Border Patrol said.
