International Airport on Wednesday after one of the pilots became incapacitated during the Canada-bound flight, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>The Air Canada flight 7664 out of Newark, New Jersey, was forced to divert at 1:37 p.m. \u2014 just an hour after take off.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA crew member was reported to having a medical emergency and aircraft was being flown by the co-pilot,\u201d Massachusetts State Police told The Post.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.50146628;display:block\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"39782903\" width=\"886\" height=\"590\" class=\"wp-image-39782903\"  \/>The Air Canada flight 7664 out of Newark, New Jersey, was forced to divert just an hour after take off at 1:40 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>The plane \u2014 a de Havilland Dash 8-400 \u2014 successfully landed at around 2 p.m., with ambulances swarming the runway and bringing a stretcher to the cockpit.<\/p>\n<p>The pilot was brought from the plane to the ambulance within minutes of touchdown, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/boston\/news\/air-canada-landing-logan-airport-newark-halifax\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">CBS News<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson for the Federal Aviation Administration <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boston25news.com\/news\/local\/msp-flight-newark-diverted-logan-airport-after-crew-member-suffers-medical-emergency\/CETM6IXV65D2ZGGTZ54J7SEE4I\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">told Boston 25<\/a>: \u201cAir Canada Flight 7664 landed safely at Boston Logan International Airport around 2 p.m. local time on Wednesday, June 24, after the crew reported a pilot medical emergency.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Images from local outlets showed Massport Fire Rescue and Boston EMS crews surrounding the plane on the runway before it was towed to a gate.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Boston EMS told CBS that the pilot was rushed to Massachusetts General Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>The twin-turboprop PAL Airlines flight \u2014 operated by Air Canada \u2014 was traveling from Newark Liberty International Airport to the Halifax Stanfield International Airport, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/12\/12\/lifestyle\/where-to-eat-stay-and-soak-in-nova-scotia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">in Nova Scotia<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>No further details were provided on the pilot\u2019s condition.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Air Canada did not immediately
