Any Canadian involvement would mark \u2060GCAP&#8217;s first expansion beyond its three founding members. Speculation has grown that additional countries could join the programme, with Italian Defence Minister \u200bGuido Crosetto \u200bsaying this month he would \u200bwelcome partners willing to share \u200cdevelopment costs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;We are interested in learning more about it. I&#8217;ll take it back to my team and see what it looks like,&#8221; McGuinty told Reuters in an interview after meeting Japanese Defence Minister Shinjiro Koizumi in Tokyo on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Officials in Rome and executives \u200cat Leonardo have floated Canada, Saudi \u200bArabia and Germany as potential future partners \u200bor observers.
