A culture of volunteerism within the organization has also played a role, with\u00a0a number of\u00a0employees volunteering for World Cup duties beyond their regular responsibilities, she says.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{eb91c8ad-bcbd-4d9a-b006-215762f0c3fa}{34}\" paraid=\"1279683368\">Levitt\u00a0also says\u00a0that Vancouver&#8217;s staffing plans have similarly tracked expectations. &#8220;We\u2019ve built contingency plans into staffing plans,\u00a0but we\u2019ve\u00a0found\u202fthat\u202fto\u202fdate,\u202fanticipated\u202fstaffing needs are\u202fgenerally working\u202fwell, with small adjustments being made where\u202fappropriate,\u201d she says.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Hospitality\u00a0sector: an uneven picture\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{eb91c8ad-bcbd-4d9a-b006-215762f0c3fa}{38}\" paraid=\"1893128702\">While\u00a0municipal\u00a0government operations have kept pace with projections, the hospitality sector has faced a more complicated reality.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{eb91c8ad-bcbd-4d9a-b006-215762f0c3fa}{40}\" paraid=\"348931855\">Hotel occupancy in Toronto during the second week of June\u00a02026\u00a0\u2014 when Canada played its first match \u2014 came in at 82 per cent, down\u00a0slightly\u00a0from 83 per cent in the same period last year, according to\u00a0Sara Anghel, president of the Greater Toronto Hotel Association, in an interview with the Canadian Press.
