Drake<\/a> wants to apologize to all the Janices of the world for his hit song “Janice STFU<\/a>” by throwing a series of exclusive parties.<\/p>\n

Teasing the shindigs on Thursday (June 25), Drizzy took to his Instagram Stories with a post suggesting he’d be sending out invites.<\/p>\n

“All my Janice\u2019s in NY, LA, MIA, TO, HOU, look out for my invitation for Sunday,” he wrote. In case you\u2019re not clear of what those abbreviated cities are, he\u2019s referring to New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Toronto, and Houston.<\/p>\n

Though his announcement was vague, Now Toronto<\/a> has obtained details about the Toronto party which is supposed to happen on Sunday (June 28). Drizzy\u2019s formal apology party in the city will be taking place at Cactus Club from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. You can\u2019t just be anybody to get into it, though. You have to have a government-issued ID that says “Janice.”<\/p>\n

Drake’s upcoming parties are in response to the popularity of the song “Janice STFU,” taken from his Iceman album which arrived last month. It’s become Drizzy’s first multi-week #1 entry on the Billboard Hot 100 since he dropped “In My Feelings” in 2018.<\/p>\n

“Janice STFU” continues to be the topic of conversation, not just because people love it, but also because they can\u2019t figure out who its subliminal disses are about.<\/p>\n

“You boys got big off my name, that\u2019s big enough \/ We know how you OGs rockin’ already, my n***a, the jig is up,” Drake raps on the track, leading DJ Akademiks<\/a> to suggest, on a stream, that the song is a reference to Jay-Z.<\/a><\/p>\n

One person that many people believe the song is directed towards is Joe Budden,<\/a> who previously revealed on the Joe Budden Podcast that Janice is a name he\u2019s been referred to before<\/a>. Budden has since addressed the theory on a recent episode of The JBP.<\/p>\n

“The internet has put one and four together and I\u2019m Janice,” he said. “The record is ‘Shut the f**k up Janice, and maybe I’m Janice, but he’s dissing \u2014 at least when I listen to it \u2014 I thought he was dissing everybody else in the world. I didn’t really hear a Joe Budden diss. I got to listen to it again now.”<\/p>\n

“The funny s**t is I’m Janice even if I’m not Janice now,” he continued. “I see some n***as out there mad I’m Janice. They trying to talk me out of it. ‘It ain’t you. It ain’t Joe.’ Ay, it is if it ain’t.”<\/p>\n

As it stands, it may be wreaking havoc in the lives of people named Janice everywhere, but “Janice STFU” has already been certified platinum by the RIAA and has surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify.<\/p>\n
