Nick Alberga of Leafs Morning Takes reports<\/a> that the Toronto Maple Leafs have signed forward Colton Sissons<\/a>. This will mark another change of team for Sissons, who played one season with the Vegas Golden Knights after 11 seasons with the Nashville Predators.<\/p>\n

Sissons failed to find his footing in his stint in Vegas. He scored just 11 points in 66 games, 10 points fewer than he managed in Nashville\u2019s 2024-25 campaign. While his scoring dipped, Sissons remained an impactful depth center. He ranked second among Golden Knights centers with a 56.5 faceoff percentage behind Tomas Hertl<\/a>\u2018s 57.8 faceoff percentage. High faceoff marks have followed Sissons throughout his career. He hasn\u2019t had a season below 50 percent on faceoffs in his career, excluding a 17-game stint in the 2013-14 season to begin his career. Sissons has since recorded a 53.9 faceoff percentage across 12 seasons, and 756 games, in the NHL.<\/p>\n

In addition to reliable faceoffs, Toronto will add a capable penalty-killer in this move. Sissons manned Vegas\u2019 second penalty-kill unit for much of the 2025-26 season. He was also Nashville\u2019s most-used penalty-killer through his decade with the team, recording 1,467 minutes of shorthanded ice time \u2013 over 500 minutes more than any other Predators forward has combined for since 2007.
