VANCOUVER, Canada \u2014 President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney on Thursday (Friday in Manila) visited a local Jollibee outlet, highlighting the popular Filipino fast-food chain\u2019s growing global presence.<\/p>\n

Marcos and Carney made a brief stop at Jollibee on Granville Street in downtown Vancouver after their bilateral meeting at the Vancouver Convention Center.<\/p>\n

The two leaders made an order, posed with the Jollibee mascot, and chatted with staff and customers.<\/p>\n

The Jollibee branch, which opened in March 2022, is the first Jollibee in Vancouver, Canada.<\/p>\n

It is also the flagship store in the province of British Columbia and the 23rd outlet in Canada.<\/p>\n

One of the Philippines\u2019 most globally recognized brands, Jollibee Foods Corp. has a growing international footprint across North America, the Middle East, Europe and Asia.\u200b<\/p>\n

Jollibee plans to open over 85 new locations in Canada.<\/p>\n

Jollibee\u2019s international expansion directly drives the export of premium Philippine agricultural and manufactured products because signature products such as peach mango pies, ube pie, pineapple juice and Jollibee gravy are manufactured in the Philippines and exported to Canada.<\/p>\n
