\t\t\t\t\t2026 Bell Canadian Swimming Trials<\/p>\n
It is the first final session of the 2026 Canadian Swimming Trials, where some of the first selections for the Pan Pacific Championship team for Canada will be made.<\/p>\n
As a reminder, the Canadian Commonwealth Games team was pre-selected back in October, so this meet only pertains to Pan Pacs qualifying. The selection criteria for Pan Pacs is linked above, but SwimSwam will post a roster update after the conclusion of each finals session.<\/p>\n
Tonight will feature the finals of the 200 freestyle, 100 back, 200 fly, and the fastest heat of the men\u2019s 800 freestyle.<\/p>\n
Ella Jansen<\/a> narrowly claimed the top seed in the women\u2019s 200 free this morning over Summer Cardwell<\/a>, touching in 1:57.89 to Cardwell\u2019s 1:58.17, both of which were under the World Aquatics \u2018A\u2019 standard time.<\/p>\n Lorne Wigginton<\/a> led a trio of sub-1:49 performers in the 200 free this morning in 1:47.33.
