Yungblud<\/a> has \u201creluctantly\u201d withdrawn from his performance at a Canadian music festival this weekend, as his management \u201cmade the decision\u201d to pull him from the fest.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo all my family in Canada I apologize for not being there with you all this weekend \u2014 I\u2019m currently in a place where I\u2019m working on myself and taking time off at home in the UK,\u201d the singer said in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m taking this extremely seriously and facing head on what\u2019s going on for the good of the long term,\u201d he continued. \u201cI will never take any of this for granted and I will see you all soon. I love you all.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yungblud was scheduled to perform this Sunday, July 12 at Calgary\u2019s Cowboys Music Festival, the latest stop on his 2026 Idols World Tour. According to the singer\u2019s management, Yungblud isn\u2019t expected to miss any more upcoming gigs on his tour, which resumes July 28 in Indianapolis. \u201c\u201cWe are sorry for any disappointment this may cause, these are not decisions we take lightly,\u201d Yungblud\u2019s management added.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, the singer shared a vulnerable post<\/a> on social media where he opened up about accusations that he\u2019s an \u201cindustry plant.\u201d Fellow artists \u2014 including SZA, Anthrax\u2019s Scott Ian, and more \u2014 commented on his post, giving him support.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the past 10 years I\u2019ve been on a million different journeys tried a million different sounds trying to figure out who I am or what I can mean to the world everyday whilst the world shouts back,\u201d he wrote. \u201cThe amount of hate and disbelief around me from strangers on the Internet or bitter musicians really weighs on my heart as all I\u2019ve been trying to do for the past 10 years is spread love, build something I believe in and unify people in a safe space.\u201d<\/p>\n
