2026 training camp.<\/p>\n<p>The right-shot defenseman from Longueuil had already signed his first professional contract with the Lions on April 14.<\/p>\n<p>His first stint was brief.<\/p>\n<p>He appeared in the final two games of the 2025-26 regular season, just enough to get a taste of the professional level, and he clearly made a strong first impression.<\/p>\n<p>What the club values in him is clear.<\/p>\n<p>Inniss brings physicality and a reliable presence in his own zone.<\/p>\n<p>Before making the jump to the professional ranks, he spent four years in university hockey.<\/p>\n<p>Playing for Concordia, he recorded 24 points in 104 games.<\/p>\n<p>The Lions confirmed the news on social media:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Trois-Rivi\u00e8res Lions announce the return of Christopher Inniss!<\/p>\n<p>After appearing in the final two games of the 2025-26 season with the Lions, the defenseman is back to bring his physicality and reliable presence in the defensive zone!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>His university career was about more than just points.<\/p>\n<p>He helped the Stingers capture a division championship and reach the USPORTS national final.<\/p>\n<p>Former QMJHL First-Round Pick Christopher Inniss Eager to Make an Impact With the Lions<\/p>\n<p>Inniss was selected in the first round of the QMJHL Draft in 2017, reflecting the high expectations placed on him early in his career.<\/p>\n<p>His junior career took him to several teams.<\/p>\n<p>He played for the Rimouski Oc\u00e9anic, the Saint John Sea Dogs, and the Chicoutimi Saguen\u00e9ens.<\/p>\n<p>His final junior season was his most productive.<\/p>\n<p>Named an assistant captain, he posted the best offensive numbers of his career.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s what he had to say about the signing.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m very happy to join the Lions, and I can&#8217;t wait to contribute to the success of this great organization alongside its dedicated fans,&#8221;
