Four days into the search for Parker, Calgary police shared the detail that changes where everyone should be looking.<\/p>\n

The missing 11-year-old, police say, has a tendency to enter homes and lock doors behind him.<\/p>\n

Sit with what that means. Parker may not be in a park or under a bridge. He could be inside a house, a basement, a utility room, behind a door somebody assumes they locked themselves. Which is why the police request on Sunday wasn’t just to check your property. It was to check it again, and this time to check inside.<\/p>\n

What police are asking you to search, room by room<\/p>\n

The Sunday appeal came with an unusually specific list, and the specifics are the point. Children can be easy to miss in places nobody thinks to look.<\/p>\n

Inside your home: basements, utility rooms, cupboards, closets, and any room that may have been overlooked. Police are asking residents to re-check carefully even if nothing seems out of place, precisely because Parker may lock a door behind him.<\/p>\n

Outside: garages, sheds, play structures, storage areas, under decks, the narrow spaces between fences and hedges, and behind lawn equipment. Any vehicle, truck, trailer or RV that hasn’t been used recently should be opened and searched inside, not just glanced at. With the heat Calgary has had all weekend, police note a child would be seeking shelter, and enclosed spaces are shelter.<\/p>\n

And if you searched Saturday, search again today. Police were direct about it: even places you’ve already looked should be checked a second time. A second search could make all the difference.<\/p>\n

Disney songs from patrol cars<\/p>\n

The search has also taken on a sound. Police say they’re using what Parker’s family has told them about his interests and behaviours to guide operations, and Parker loves Disney music. So officers have been playing his favourite Disney songs from patrol vehicles and other search resources in the areas being searched, hoping the familiar music draws him out where a stranger’s voice would send him hiding.<\/p>\n

Parker is neurodivergent and non-verbal. He may not answer his name, and he may hide from the very people looking for him. Finding him means searching on his terms, and his family is the map.<\/p>\n

The search is growing, not winding down<\/p>\n

Every number from Saturday got bigger by Sunday.<\/p>\n

The RCMP have joined Calgary police search teams. More than 300 CPS members have now taken part, up from 200 a day earlier. Roughly 120 trained volunteers coordinated through Search and Rescue Alberta are out again, and the Air Support Unit, Mounted Patrol Team, Canine Unit and Mountain Bike Unit all remain active.<\/p>\n

Tips have tripled, from about 30 on Saturday to roughly 90 received and assessed, and investigators are working through about 50 hours of CCTV, home security and dashcam footage. Police also released new CCTV video Sunday showing Parker at 12:52 p.m. Thursday in the 5500 block of Travis Crescent N.E., the last confirmed sighting. Search efforts, police say, are increasingly focused on areas tied to his last known movements and reported sightings.<\/p>\n

The timeline itself hasn’t moved: last seen at his day home on Connaught Drive N.W. in Cambrian Heights between 11:08 and 11:41 a.m. Thursday, clothing believed to be his found around noon on Northmount Drive N.W., then the Travis Crescent footage about an hour later. Police say there is nothing to indicate foul play.<\/p>\n

Police added a caution aimed at the crowds who want to join in. The weekend has been hot, searching is physically demanding, and large groups of untrained volunteers run a real risk of needing rescue themselves, which would pull police, EMS and search teams away from looking for Parker.<\/p>\n

The ask: if you search, stay out of areas where official operations are underway, don’t enter private property without permission, don’t park near active search zones, keep access routes clear for emergency vehicles, and report anything immediately rather than investigating it yourself. The most valuable thing most Calgarians can do isn’t joining a search line. It’s the second look at their own basement.<\/p>\n

Don’t approach. Don’t call out. Keep him in sight and call 911.<\/p>\n

Parker is 4’11”, about 90 pounds, brown hair, shaved head, brown eyes, last seen shirtless in dark shorts and black noise-cancelling headphones.<\/p>\n
