Fans also gathered at the Cloverdale Agriplex, South Surrey Athletic Park and Holland Park as the fan zones rolled out across the city. The events featured more than 100 live match broadcasts, along with live entertainment, family-friendly activities, community exhibitors and food trucks.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"m_-3563775366431065538elementtoproof\">\u201cThe FIFA World Cup is a once-in-a-generation event, and we wanted everyone in Surrey to have the opportunity to be part of it,\u201d said Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke. \u201cThe free fan zones made it possible for families, friends and neighbours to share the excitement of the tournament without having to buy a ticket to a match.
