They are internal performance goals that identify how quickly IRCC aims to finalize a particular application type under normal conditions, generally covering 80% of applications.<\/p>\n The time required to process an individual application may differ from both the estimate and the service standard. Case complexity, backlogs, operational capacity, additional document requests, and further review requirements can all affect the final timeline.<\/p>\n IRCC typically updates temporary residence processing times weekly and permanent residence and citizenship estimates monthly. Service standards are reviewed less often, with those for temporary residence applications last revised in 2018\u20132019.<\/p>\n
