Bridge to open to traffic on Monday<\/p>\n

WINDSOR, Ont. \u2013 The Gordie Howe International Bridge will soon be open, with Canadians celebrating the completion of the years-long project.<\/p>\n

According to officials, the new bridge connecting I-75 in Detroit to Highway 401 in Ontario will open to traffic as early as 12 p.m. on Monday, July 27. The toll-free multi-use path will open to walkers and cyclists on Wednesday, Aug. 5.<\/p>\n

The ceremony on the Canadian side of the bridge was held on Friday, July 24.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump took to Truth Social regarding the opening of the bridge<\/a>, saying the U.S. was disinvited to the ceremony.<\/p>\n
