Mississauga trucker charged after getting wedged in ‘hairpin turn’ in Caledon<\/p>\n

A commercial truck driver is facing charges after his massive motor vehicle “became wedged” on a scenic road in Caledon. The driver, a 65-year-old Mississauga man, was attempting to make a “tight hairpin turn” on Forks of the Credit Road on Friday, when the truck and trailer became wedged into the guardrail, Caledon OPP said in a news release. The area has signs indicating that it is a no heavy truck route.<\/p>\n

The all-important job of leading the amateur scouting staff of the Maple Leafs will be filled by Dan Palango.\u00a0Wednesday’s news that the former Minnesota Wild amateur scout is coming aboard follows the arrival last month of Judd Brackett from the Wild to be one of general manager John Chayka’s assistants, in charge of player evaluation. Two other moves to the hockey office were announced on Wednesday, Brad Rossen as vice-president of research and development and J.P.
