This is the new spot for the most picture-perfect skyline in Toronto<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Welcome to Biidaasige Park<\/a>, pronounced \u201cbee-daw-si-geh.\u201d<\/p>\n

Expanding over 10 acres, this is the city’s largest new park in a generation.<\/p>\n

Biidaasige means “sunlight shining toward us” in Anishinaabemowin, and Indigenous history is beautifully woven throughout the park.<\/p>\n

The new event lawn can accommodate up to 3,000 people, but this space is about more than just a new place to gather.<\/p>\n

What was once industrial land has now become a vibrant area for connecting with water, nature, art, and each other.<\/p>\n

This transformation is part of a massive initiative to revitalize Toronto’s waterfront\u2014restoring the Don River, protecting the city from flooding, and reintroducing wildlife to the area.<\/p>\n

As part of this restoration, more than one million plants and 5,000 trees have already been added.<\/p>\n
