When Cheryl, who had used Uber Eats, received a DoorDash text, she grew suspicious, refused to share the code, and the caller cancelled her order.<\/p>\n<p>Her driver delivered the order and was unaware of the call, leaving Cheryl unsettled and questioning whether the driver\u2019s account had been compromised.<\/p>\n<p>People commented under her video, with some relating to the scam and others noting clear signs.<\/p>\n<p>One user asked, \u201cHow did they get your information in the first place?\u201d Another commented, \u201cWhy confirm your phone number? This is the first red flag.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe same exact thing happened to me just two weeks ago and I got scammed for $270,\u201d one user related.<\/p>\n<p>Another user wrote, \u201cThis is social engineering. Don\u2019t give out your PIN \u2013 ever. Ever. Ever.\u201d Another criticized, \u201cSo Uber Eats doesn\u2019t have a secure site. They need to fix that and upgrade their firewalls IMMEDIATELY. I will abstain from using Uber Eats until they announce they\u2019ve fixed their issues.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On April 10, Uber commented on the video. \u201cSupport Team here \u2013 Hi Cheryl, this is concerning to hear.
