The 24th annual Tour De Bowness looked a little different this year.<\/p>\n

The usual hill climb was replaced with the Canadian Road Masters Championship (athletes 35 and older) road race. <\/p>\n

The event drew athletes from across the country to Calgary last weekend.<\/p>\n

The weekend-long bike race, which attracts hundreds of cyclists from across the country,\u00a0 involves three different races: the Time Trial, which took place north of Cochrane on Saturday; the road race, which happened on Sunday in Rocky View County near Old Banff Coach Road; and the iconic criterium races, which took over the streets of Bowness on the holiday Monday.<\/p>\n

The Tour De Bowness combines both competitive road cycling with a lively street festival.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s street festival featured music, dancing and dozens of vendors and food trucks.\u00a0<\/p>\n
