Air Canada suspended flights<\/a> to and from Tel Aviv (TLV) and Dubai (DXB) until mid-January 2027, the airline announced on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The airline had previously extended its flight pause on these routes until October 24, 2026, citing instability in the region.<\/p>\n

Air Canada originally canceled flights to Israel<\/a> and the United Arab Emirates on March 2, 2026, shortly after the war with Iran began on February 28.<\/p>\n

The airline said that it will continue to assess conditions to determine when service will resume.<\/p>\n

The Canadian government’s official travel guidelines advise citizens to “avoid non-essential travel” to a variety of Middle Eastern<\/a> nations due to security concerns arising from the conflict with Iran.<\/p>\n

These include travel advisories on the UAE, Saudi Arabia<\/a>, Qatar, Jordan, and Oman, which are listed under “Orange” or Level 3 advisories that are considered to be “volatile.”<\/p>\n

Canada also advised its citizens to avoid non-essential travel to Israel, and advises that all travel to Palestinian territories<\/a>, the border with Lebanon, and the border with Syria be avoided due to “ongoing military operations.”<\/p>\n
