York police said they collaborated with Toronto police to charge the suspect.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Police identified a 23-year-old Barrie man as another suspect in the case, <a data-ylk=\"slk:following the arrests of;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;link&quot;,&quot;yLinkElementType&quot;:&quot;article_link&quot;}\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/toronto\/teen-charged-toronto-vaughan-synagogue-shootings-9.7216815\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">following the arrests of<\/a> a 17-year-old from Waterloo and an 18-year-old man of no fixed address in May.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The Barrie man is facing eight charges, including four counts of reckless discharge of a firearm, possession of a prohibited firearm and two counts of mischief related to religious property.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">York police said the man is being charged for a total of four shooting incidents, including at the two synagogues. He was initially arrested for a shooting that took place on March 25 and then evidence later tied him to the three other cases while in custody.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">York police responded to reports of gunshots shortly before midnight on March 6 near Clark Avenue W. and York Hill Boulevard. At the scene, they discovered damage to the front doors of the Beth Avraham Yoseph of Toronto synagogue.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Two people who were inside at the time were not injured.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">A day later, gunshots were reported just after midnight in the area of Bathurst Street and Glencairn Avenue.
