Environment Canada warns that the capital is expected to receive a significant dump of rainfall beginning Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n
In a \u201cred\u201d statement Sunday, the agency forecast rainfall starting April 12 will total 20-30 mm in the capital by Monday evening.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe frozen or nearly saturated ground has a reduced ability to absorb this rainfall,\u201d the agency cautioned.<\/p>\n
Rain is expected to move into the area late Sunday afternoon and persist into Monday afternoon. Thunderstorms may affect portions of the region.<\/p>\n

Environment Canada is predicting rain until Thursday with a possible break on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
