{"id":166649,"date":"2026-08-13T14:46:08","date_gmt":"2026-08-13T14:46:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/canada\/166649\/"},"modified":"2026-08-13T14:46:08","modified_gmt":"2026-08-13T14:46:08","slug":"air-north-goes-year-round-on-edmonton-route-expands-yvr-service","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/canada\/166649\/","title":{"rendered":"Air North Goes Year-Round on Edmonton Route; Expands YVR Service"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-223841 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/canada\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Air-North.jpg\" alt=\"Air North\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Air North is increasing frequency to YEG with new year\u2011round service and adjusting several seasonal routes to improve access across the North and Western Canada.<\/p>\n<p>Beginning in December, the carrier will launch year\u2011round Yellowknife-Edmonton flights, creating a continuous link between Whitehorse and Yellowknife through its existing schedules.<\/p>\n<p>The move gives residents, government travellers and businesses in both territories a more consistent option for travel between the Yukon and Northwest Territories.<\/p>\n<p>Air North is also offering Yellowknife-Vancouver service earlier, with flights now starting August 2026. The change extends the visitor season and improves connections for travellers moving through Vancouver, including international passengers. Kelowna and Victoria will gain one\u2011stop access to Yellowknife via Vancouver beginning December 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Northwest Territories Tourism says the expanded schedule improves access from B.C., Alberta, Ontario and the Yukon, supporting tourism activity and making travel to the NWT more straightforward for visitors and residents.<\/p>\n<p>Ontario&#8217;s service is also being adjusted to match peak-demand periods.
