A 69-year-old man from Edmonton is dead after an early morning collision between a motorcycle and pickup truck in Parkland County, say Alberta RCMP<\/a>.<\/p>\n

At roughly 6:18 a.m. on Thursday, officers from Parkland County were dispatched to a collision between a motorcycle and pickup truck at Highway 627 between Range Road 273 and 274, said RCMP in a release.<\/p>\n

When officers arrived on scene, they found the motorcyclist, a 69-year-old from Edmonton, dead on scene.<\/p>\n

The male driver of the pickup truck, an 82-year-old senior from Spruce Grove, didn’t sustain injuries, said police.<\/p>\n

Police said a collision analyst attended the scene of the collision and the cause of the crash is still under investigation.<\/p>\n

After being shut down for several hours on Thursday morning, police said the roadway will reopen and be cleared to traffic shortly.<\/p>\n
