{"id":168495,"date":"2026-08-14T21:42:11","date_gmt":"2026-08-14T21:42:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/canada\/168495\/"},"modified":"2026-08-14T21:42:11","modified_gmt":"2026-08-14T21:42:11","slug":"fire-station-reopens-after-two-year-refurbishment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/canada\/168495\/","title":{"rendered":"Fire station reopens after two year refurbishment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The chief fire officer for Surrey Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said it is &#8220;really special&#8221; to reopen Lingfield Fire Station after a two-year revamp.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">A delayed refurbishment project which began in the summer of 2024 saw Lingfield&#8217;s crew and vehicles relocated to Oxted.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">They are now back at base in Lingfield, able to benefit from a new station which has a second vehicle bay, better facilities to handle contaminants, and a new gym.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Dan Quin said the team at this station, who &#8220;often have full time jobs and do on-call when we need them&#8221;, deserve these facilities.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"Dan Quin, chief fire officer for the Surrey Fire and Rescue Service.
