There could also be severe storms in some locales.<\/p>\n<p>DON\u2019T MISS: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theweathernetwork.com\/en\/news\/weather\/severe\/latest-el-nino-forecast-calls-for-historic-heat-by-this-autumn\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Latest El Ni\u00f1o forecast calls for historic heat by this autumn<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sunday downpour and thunderstorm threat<\/p>\n<p>A vast reservoir of rich atmospheric moisture moving toward southern Ontario will send feels-like values close to 40 and fuel a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theweathernetwork.com\/en\/news\/weather\/severe\/what-is-a-flash-flood-a-civil-engineer-explains\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">threat for torrential downpours<\/a> for Sunday.<\/p>\n<p><img url=\"\/\/images.twnmm.com\/c55i45ef3o2a\/Dn8cBUbQLfmMNjwQ838JL\/18d1f8980dc4bfc1bf8f52df4725b7da\/image8.png\" alt=\"Ontario precipitation timing Sunday afternoon\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"fill\" style=\"position:absolute;height:100%;width:100%;left:0;top:0;right:0;bottom:0;object-fit:contain;object-position:center center;color:transparent\"   src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/canada\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/image8.png\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Instability will build through the afternoon.
