Show listings, passes, and tickets are available online.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vancouver-based artists are behind more than two-thirds of the 84 shows, alongside performers from across Canada. Local Sophia Saugstad, winner of the 2026 Ensemble Prize, and her production\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vancouverfringe.com\/events\/coming-of-rage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Coming of Rage,<\/a>\u00a0is a highlight of this year\u2019s festival. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vancouverfringe.com\/announcing-the-2026-ensemble-prize-winner-sophia-saugstad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Ensemble Prize<\/a>, supported by the Levy-Ehrcke Family Fund, is a new cash prize supporting productions with larger casts. Marita Michaelis, also a Vancouver local, has likewise spent the last year developing\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vancouverfringe.com\/events\/live-in-hell\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">LIVE IN HELL<\/a>\u00a0supported by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.playwrightstheatre.com\/programs\/kathleen-flaherty-prize\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">the Kathleen Flaherty Prize<\/a>, an artist development program done in partnership with Playwrights Theatre Company designed to elevate bold, new voices in live performance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis year we really embraced everything that makes the Fringe special,\u201d says Duncan Watts-Grant, Executive Director of the Vancouver Fringe, \u201cWhether you come for intimate storytelling, engaging site-specific work, moving dance, catchy musicals, or feisty improv and stand-up comedy, this year\u2019s Fringe has every kind of everything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The festival kicks off on the night of September 9 with an Opening Night Fringe Teaser. Performers will have two minutes each to give the audience a taste of what to expect from their shows scheduled across the following two weeks. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vancouverfringe.com\/events\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">View the full schedule online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Free Programming for Kids<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Granville Island will also host two days of free child-friendly programming with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vancouverfringe.com\/kids-fringe-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Kids Fringe<\/a>, supported through a new premier sponsorship from CUPE BC (September 12 and 13). It will feature engaging outdoor shows for kids \u201cand their\u00a0grown-ups\u201d along with a puppet-making workshop delivered by Arts Umbrella, and a Baby Rave presented in partnership with Carousel Theatre for Young People. The Kids Market is also supporting the returning Kids Summer Craft Fair at Kids Fringe. <\/p>\n<p>Free Fringe Patio Music Series<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The free <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coastaljazz.ca\/event\/fringe-patio\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Fringe Patio<\/a> music series (September 5 to 7) located at Ocean Artworks on Granville Island is a showcase of local musicians running throughout the Fringe, kicking off early on\u00a0Labour Day weekend\u00a0with a lineup co-presented with the Coastal Jazz and Blues Society.
