We\u2019re highlighting some of the biggest and most innovative cleanup projects in Canada for the second annual\u00a0Top 25 Remediation Projects Report<\/a>. The projects are ranked, quite simply, in order of investment.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile this list serves primarily as a snapshot of top projects, the multi-stakeholder teams, and their price tags,\u201d says Connie Vitello, Editor of Environment Journal, \u201cit also provides valuable insight into the complexity and diversity of remediation approaches across the country.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last year\u2019s report covered projects with a total value of $5.03 billion. While this list served primarily as a snapshot of top projects, the multi-stakeholder teams, and their price tags, it also provided insight into the complexity and diversity of remediation approaches. The nationwide scope revealed a thriving industry engaged in nuclear waste cleanup, mining remediation and brownfield redevelopment, supported by private and public funds, with a trend toward low-carbon, sustainable remediation approaches.<\/p>\n
