{"id":177387,"date":"2026-08-21T19:05:12","date_gmt":"2026-08-21T19:05:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/canada\/177387\/"},"modified":"2026-08-21T19:05:12","modified_gmt":"2026-08-21T19:05:12","slug":"man-arrested-after-two-people-injured-in-stabbing-at-edmonton-sikh-temple-police-say","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/canada\/177387\/","title":{"rendered":"Man arrested after two people injured in stabbing at Edmonton Sikh temple, police say"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-article-body__text text-pr-5\">Edmonton Police say two people were injured and a man is in custody after a stabbing at a Sikh temple in the city\u2019s northeast early Friday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-article-body__text text-pr-5\">Edmonton Police Service spokesperson Carolin Maran said in a statement that officers responded at 5:08 a.m. to a reported stabbing at the Nanaksar Sikh Temple, located on the edge of the city.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-article-body__text text-pr-5\">After arriving at the temple, police arrested an adult male while the two male victims were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, Ms. Maran wrote.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-article-body__text text-pr-5\">Police have provided few details and haven\u2019t suggested a motive.
