Able Ebenezer Brewing Company in Merrimack said they have been seeing can prices fluctuate.<\/p>\n
“You can’t just change the can price overnight, so you just have to absorb it and ride the wave,” said Mike Frizzelle of Able Ebenezer Brewing Company.<\/p>\n
Frizzelle said prices on other imports have him worried. <\/p>\n
“I was worried about grain. Most people don’t know 80% of malted barley comes from Canada in North America. So, luckily, that’s exempt, which is a huge relief, but it created some sleepless nights,” Frizzelle said. <\/p>\n
Manchester Craft Market in the Mall of New Hampshire said it has seen 15 to 20% less Canadian-native business in their shop since the tariffs first began.<\/p>\n
“We’re noticing way less people say they’re from Canada, way less people speaking French in the store in general,” said Emmalee Aiken of Manchester Craft Market.<\/p>\n
Aiken said she is worried about the strain that this wave of tariffs will have on Canada’s relationship with the Granite State.<\/p>\n
“It ends up being a big detriment to a lot of businesses, period,” Aiken said. <\/p>\n
