Dogpool, the furry fan favourite Marvel hero, is heading to the Edmonton Expo this month to lick fans and raise funds for her fellow animals.<\/p>\n
The four-legged “merc with a mouth,” known to her real ones as Peggy the Dog, will be at the Edmonton Expo to take photos and sign “pawtophrags” with her fans, said a Tuesday news release. Peggy is a hero even off screen, donating a portion of the proceeds from her photos and signings to Zoe’s Animal Rescue in Edmonton.<\/p>\n
“We see every day the powerful, positive impact that pets have on Edmontonians,” said Kath Oltsher, co-director of Zoe’s Animal Rescue Society, in the release.<\/p>\n
“We’re so grateful to Peggy and her family for choosing to support our vision of seeing animals and people thriving together.”<\/p>\n
Born as the prettiest pup in an accidental litter, Peggy was adopted to a loving family who quickly realized they had a generational talent on their hands. She rose to stardom after winning Britain’s Ugliest Dog \u2014 clearly an ironic title \u2014 before snagging the lead canine role in Deadpool and Wolverine, which also features human supporting roles played by Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds.<\/p>\n
She joins a star-studded list of 2026 Edmonton Expo attendees, including John Cena, Ron Perlman, Trina Nishimura, and more.<\/p>\n
