(THE CANADIAN PRESS\/Jonathan Hayward)<\/p>\n<p>StandardAero has officially completed a 70,000-square-foot expansion of its Winnipeg maintenance facility, supported by $3 million from the Manitoba government.<\/p>\n<p>The expansion increases the site\u2019s total footprint by nearly 40 percent, allowing the company to handle higher volumes of engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) work. The added capacity specifically targets GE Aerospace CF34-3\/8 and CFM International CFM56-7B engines, which power widely used commercial and military aircraft globally.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur new, larger facility is central to how we support the CF34 and CFM56 programs that power some of the world\u2019s most widely flown aircraft,\u201d said StandardAero vice-president Peter Wheatley, in a release.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe space gives our team more capacity to deliver world-class MRO work for our customers here in Canada and throughout the globe.
