Creating more inclusive spaces<\/p>\n
Our Recreation Services division works in collaboration with\u00a0Equitas \u2013 International Centre for Human Rights Education<\/a>\u00a0to bring awareness to children\u2019s rights through an educational approach.<\/p>\n Children and youth who attend our programs learn about their rights and human rights values such as cooperation, respect for diversity, inclusion, and responsibility.<\/p>\n Winnipeg Public Library has put together an\u00a0anti-racism resource guide<\/a>\u00a0full of books, videos, and websites to help people learn about forms of racism and what it means to be anti-racist.<\/p>\n We also have a\u00a0Children\u2019s Anti-Racism Activity Toolkit<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Anti-Racism Cards<\/a>\u00a0that help\u00a0engage children in learning about important topics like racism, discrimination, equality, and reconciliation.<\/p>\n Check out the Priceless Fun Brochure<\/p>\n
