<\/p>\n WINNIPEG \u2013 The University of Calgary Dinos women’s soccer team made it back-to-back wins over the Manitoba Bisons with a 5-0 win on Saturday at East Turf Field.\u00a0<\/p>\n Riding the momentum of Friday’s gritty 2-1 comeback win against the Bisons, the Dinos produced a clinical performance, scoring three times in the first half before adding two more in the closing minutes to start the season 2-0-0.<\/p>\n Ella Djuranic<\/a> opened the scoring in the 15th minute after a corner was played into the area, Mykena Walker’s<\/a> driven effort towards goal deflected invitingly into the path of Djuranic, with the Bisons defence unable to clear her effort off the line.\u00a0<\/p>\n Addi White<\/a> doubled the lead nine minutes later after a receiving a pass from Erica Mysko<\/a>, White took a touch with her right foot and volleyed towards goal with her left which flew beyond\u00a0Kailey Johnston-Krulicki\u00a0in the Manitoba goal.\u00a0<\/p>\n Mysko was again involved in the action, putting in a brilliant run down the left wing and forcing a save from the goalie, which rebounded into the path of White who made no mistake with the finish to send the Dinos three goals up and in a commanding position heading into the break.<\/p>\n Deep into the second half, Josie Holt<\/a> added a fourth goal with a spectacular effort from distance that flew over the keeper’s head, before a moment of magic from Kaleigh Major<\/a> that capped off the result with a long-ranged strike straight into the top corner for her second goal in consecutive games.\u00a0<\/p>\n The Dinos will aim to keep their unbeaten start to the season alive when they return to action Friday, Sept. 11, hosting\u00a0the University of Alberta Pandas at McMahon Stadium for a 6:30 p.m kick-off., which can be seen live on Canada West TV powered by BioSteel.<\/p>\n Manitoba will host the Saskatchewan Huskies on Saturday, Sept. 12.<\/p>\n -UC-<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
