{"id":198683,"date":"2026-09-07T01:49:11","date_gmt":"2026-09-07T01:49:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/canada\/198683\/"},"modified":"2026-09-07T01:49:11","modified_gmt":"2026-09-07T01:49:11","slug":"winnipeg-transit-rolls-out-fall-schedule-with-route-changes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/canada\/198683\/","title":{"rendered":"Winnipeg Transit Rolls Out Fall Schedule with Route Changes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"et_pb_title_meta_container\">September 6, 2026 10:12 AM | <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chrisd.ca\/category\/news\/\" rel=\"category tag nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">News<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-perfmatters-preload=\"\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" fetchpriority=\"high\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-178314\" class=\"size-full wp-image-178314\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/canada\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/winnipeg-transit.jpg\" alt=\"Winnipeg Transit\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\"  \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-178314\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Winnipeg Transit (CITY OF WINNIPEG \/ FILE)<\/p>\n<p>Winnipeg Transit\u2019s fall schedule took effect Sunday, bringing route changes, stop additions and schedule improvements.<\/p>\n<p>The city says many changes this year are aimed at improving reliability and responding to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chrisd.ca\/2026\/02\/25\/downtown-winnipeg-transit-network-survey\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">rider feedback<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Non-seasonal route changes include:<\/p>\n<p>Routes 678: Waverley West-Chancellor and 679: Waverley will have new terminals on University Crescent. They will also travel through Waverley West to help reduce demand on the Blue Line.<br \/>\nRoute FX4: Gateway-Portage will have a new terminal at the Polo Park Main Terminal for easier transfers.<br \/>\nRoute 48: Transcona Blvd-McMeans will be extended between Kildonan Place Mall and Walmart, providing improved service in the area.<br \/>\nRoute 649: Chevrier will be extended to improve service for residents of Whyte Ridge.<br \/>\nTo simplify service, Route D:18 Notre Dame will operate on Arlington Street in both directions.<br \/>\nThe southern boundary of On-request Zone 106: North East will be extended from Edison Avenue to Kimberly.
