Projects from\u00a0Vancouver<\/a>\u00a0producers\u00a0Seth Rogen\u00a0<\/a>and Ryan Reynolds<\/a>\u00a0collected hardware\u00a0at\u00a0the 78th Creative Arts Emmy Awards\u00a0in\u00a0Los Angeles over the weekend.<\/p>\n

The two-day awards ceremonies, which were not televised, focused on technical, artistic, craft and behind-the-scenes achievements. This year, for the first time, they also included specific guest acting and reality categories. The Primetime Emmy Awards<\/a>, which honour acting, directing, writing, and overall top series categories, will be broadcast on NBC on Sept. 14.<\/p>\n

Produced by\u00a0Rogen<\/a>‘s Point Grey Pictures, The Muppet Show received six Emmy nominations and notched wins for outstanding variety special (pre-recorded), outstanding writing for a variety special, outstanding picture editing for variety programming and outstanding production design for a variety special.<\/p>\n

Rogen, who was an executive producer on the project, was also a guest star, alongside Sabrina Carpenter and Maya Rudolph.<\/p>\n

The star took to social media to shout out the recognition.<\/p>\n

“The Muppet Show won 4 Emmys! I couldn’t be more proud to have been able to help bring this to life and I’m so thrilled our amazing team of writers, editors and production designers were recognized for their work. Yayyyy!” said Rogen via his Instagram account.<\/p>\n

For Reynolds<\/a>, the Emmy glory came through projects produced by his company Maximum Effort.<\/p>\n

The soccer documentary series Welcome to Wrexham had four Emmy nominations and a win for outstanding sound mixing for a reality program for re-recording engineer Mark Jensen.<\/p>\n

The feature documentary film John Candy: I Like Me took earned the Emmy for outstanding music composition for a documentary\/non-fiction or reality program for composer Tyler Strickland’s work. The film had five nominations going into the awards.<\/p>\n

In other Vancouver Emmy winning connections,\u00a0Netflix’s\u00a0Vancouver-shot\u00a0film adaptation of\u00a0Remarkably Bright Creatures<\/a> won the Primetime Emmy Award for outstanding movie.<\/p>\n

Burnaby’s Michael J. Fox was nominated for outstanding guest actor in a comedy series for his role as Gerry on Apple TV’s Shrinking, but the category was won posthumously by Rob Reiner for The Bear.<\/p>\n
