Celeste Ziegler doesn\u2019t have the same profile as Seth Rogen (though they did share the same weed dealer back in the day and she did have a role in The Interview), but the actress has made a name for herself with roles on shows like Shoresy and Upload. She\u2019s also a practicing real estate agent. And while she doesn\u2019t technically reside in the area anymore, she grew up in Kerrisdale and still frequently visits her mom who lives in her childhood home.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">\u201cI spent every day here,\u201d she says, standing in front of Kerrisdale Arena, where she practiced figure skating until she was 17 years old. \u201cIt still feels like home.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\">Favourite places<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">It has changed a lot; obviously Red Onion used to be right over there\u2014miss it a lot. But Minerva\u2019s is the OG. I have a lot of friends that come into the neighbourhood just to go there, and now that they\u2019ve added Barra 41 beside it, I\u2019ll go hang out there. I brought my partner there recently and he was like, \u201cWhoa, it\u2019s so busy.\u201d It\u2019s an institution.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\">I\u2019m often found at\u2026<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Macu Tea. Everyone lines up for it. It has the best mango bubble tea.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Best recent purchase<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Hot pot from Big Way Hot Pot. Whenever I\u2019m coming down with something, that\u2019s my spot.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\">Underrated gem<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">My mom\u2019s older now, so she really likes going for high tea, and the Secret Garden is the best for that.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">Thing you\u2019d change<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">I miss the mom-and-pop shops, you know, like every time I come back and another one\u2019s gone. And they did a great job with the Arbutus Greenway, which used to be a railroad track with overgrown weeds and stuff; let\u2019s keep that going and make the whole area a bit more outdoorsy, there are a lot of great parks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">Popular misconception<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">People think it\u2019s snobby, that everyone has their nose up. And honestly, when you talk to people, they\u2019re so friendly. They\u2019re very open and receptive. It\u2019s an affluent neighbourhood, yes, but I don\u2019t think people act like that. You get that more in other neighbourhoods.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\">Favourite quiet spot<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Maple Grove Park.
