A 53-year-old has been charged following a Sault Ste. Marie Police Services investigation into a business break-in reported earlier this year on Third Line West<\/p>\n
A 53-year-old man is facing several charges related to a break-in that happened in February.<\/p>\n
On Feb. 17, a report of a break-in at a business in the 0-100 block of Third Line West two days earlier prompted an investigation by Sault police officers with the Bail Compliance Unit, Forensic Identification Unit, and Patrol Services.<\/p>\n
Police say that, during the break-in, the accused also caused extensive damage and took property from the business.<\/p>\n
On April 22, detectives with the Bail Compliance Unit located and arrested the accused.<\/p>\n
As a result of the investigation,\u00a0Amey Roach has been charged with:<\/p>\n
\n\tBreak, Enter a Place \u2013 Commit Indictable Offence
\n\tPossession of Break In Instruments
\n\tMischief \u2013 Over $5,000
\n\tPossession of Property Obtained by Crime \u2013 Over $5,000
\n\tFail to Comply with Probation Order
<\/p>\n
None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent until proven guilty.<\/p>\n
Roach was held in custody pending a bail hearing.<\/p>\n
This is not the first time he has been arrested.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In 2024 he pleaded guilty after stealing a <\/a>Jeep<\/a>, occupying the vehicle with a firearm, and storing the rifle in a careless manner.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A 53-year-old has been charged following a Sault Ste.
