(Photo by Kevork Djansezian\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p>Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>The Los Angeles Dodgers dropped their fourth game in a row on Tuesday, falling to the division rival San Francisco Giants as their star-studded batting order suddenly goes cold.<\/p>\n<p>The team hasn\u2019t scored more than three runs in its last five games and there appears to be plenty of blame to go around.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019ve scored two runs or fewer in 8 of their last 13. It has not been a fun run of baseball lately for the back-to-back champs,\u201d The Athletic\u2019s Katie Woo <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/katiejwoo\/status\/2054437309467254895\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-ga-track=\"ExternalLink:https:\/\/x.com\/katiejwoo\/status\/2054437309467254895\" aria-label=\"noted on X\">noted on X<\/a>, formerly Twitter, after Tuesday\u2019s loss. \u201cThe last time the Dodgers lost four straight games by at least four runs was July 1-4, 1936.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite the slump, the Dodgers have plenty of reason to believe they can return to the World Series after capturing last year\u2019s title in an extra-innings thriller against the Toronto Blue Jays. And he looked an awful lot like the electric version of Puig that baseball fans remember from his Dodgers days.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Puig went two-for-two with two home runs, four RBI and two walks in a win for his new team, reminding some Dodgers fans of the bat he swung during his 2014 All-Star campaign with the team. But it would be an understatement to say that Puig is far from the same outfielder he was more than a decade ago, particularly as he faces sentencing in Los Angeles following a recent guilty verdict.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThree months ago, Puig was found guilty of obstruction of justice and providing false statements related to a January 2022 interview with investigators looking into the gambling ring,\u201d Dan Robson <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/7274036\/2026\/05\/13\/yasiel-puig-sentence-mlb-canadian-baseball\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-ga-track=\"ExternalLink:https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/7274036\/2026\/05\/13\/yasiel-puig-sentence-mlb-canadian-baseball\/\" aria-label=\"reported for The Athletic\">reported for The Athletic<\/a>. \u201cHe faces up to 15 years in prison.
