As the city woke up, Torontonians were hyped about this historic moment that keeps the city on the map, and its icy, over-the-top rollout.<\/p>\n<p>From an explosion at Downsview Park to a giant ice block in downtown Toronto to last night\u2019s ice projections on the CN Tower and fireworks along the waterfront, Drake doesn\u2019t shy from doing it big.<\/p>\n<p>After months of hype surrounding his Iceman album, the Toronto-born rapper came out with a \u201cShabang,\u201d revealing not one but three albums.<\/p>\n<p>Now Toronto went to the streets and heard from Drake fans who have been reeling since the midnight release.<\/p>\n<p class=\"nt-read-more__title no-margin-top\">Read More<\/p>\n<p>Torontonians react to trilogy<\/p>\n<p>Toronto resident, Sophia B., was quite happy with the surprise trilogy. As a Drake fan, she says she loved every moment of Drizzy\u2019s rollout.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI also really liked the McDonald\u2019s Iceman Sprite\u2026 I think it was really cool, how he got the whole CN Tower to [be projecting] ice is like crazy,\u201d she told Now Toronto.<\/p>\n<p>Since the release, Sophia has already started listening to Iceman but says she\u2019s only gotten halfway so far.<\/p>\n<p>Her friend, Torontonian Lola N., agrees that this rollout was quite the historical moment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe all expected one and got two more, it\u2019s like, what else could we ask for?\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s really getting the word out there for Toronto. I think he\u2019s really helping tourism and people just being aware of Toronto content,\u201d Lola told Now Toronto.<\/p>\n<p>Lola says she could hear last night\u2019s fireworks near her house and was happy to celebrate with the crowd from the comfort of her home.<\/p>\n<p>Toronto resident, Arthur H., found Drake\u2019s trilogy to be \u201cabsolutely radical and spontaneous.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But the hype isn\u2019t new \u2014 Drake\u2019s rollout has kept him on his toes for the release.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think that has forever changed the marketing scene and ramp,\u201d Arthur told Now Toronto. \u201cI mean, who else puts a bunch of ice blocks out there?\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Despite being a die-hard fan, he admitted he may have gotten too excited for the release and might have overindulged on one too many celebratory drinks last night\u2014so much so that he actually forgot to actually listen to the new music. So tonight, he says he\u2019s hosting a listening party with his friends.<\/p>\n<p>Jo M. just moved to Toronto and is also hosting a listening party with friends tonight.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve always been a Drake fan, and I just moved to Toronto, so standing on my balcony and seeing the CN Tower being lit up and blue was such a beautiful and iconic experience,\u201d Jo said.<\/p>\n<p>Jo\u2019s even spotted Drake on the ice truck last week and has been hyped ever since.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re from the 6ix, should you love Drake?<\/p>\n<p>Sophia B. believes that he should definitely be appreciated at the bare minimum.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf Drake\u2019s music isn\u2019t [your] vibe, then obviously [you] don\u2019t have to listen to him. But I think you should have respect for him because he kind of did put Toronto on the map,\u201d she told Now Toronto.<\/p>\n<p>Lola N. agreed, adding that his stunts help with tourism.<\/p>\n<p>Jo M., a new Toronto resident, believes Drake has brought a lot of music culture to the city. \u201cI think it\u2019s beautiful,\u201d Jo added.<\/p>\n<p>Arthur H. added that everyone from Toronto should support Drake.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt doesn\u2019t make sense for you not to.
